Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarship

Cathy Wills, patron of the Cecil Lewis Scholarships,
with scholars Hyseoo You, Nicky Teegan and Ula Dajerling

Cathy Wills launched the Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarships in 2007 in memory of her beloved father, a man who was passionate about the medium throughout his life. Cathy, a graduate of London College of Communication 2005, wanted to support talented people who wouldn't have been able to come to art school without the award. Cathy says, "My main interest all my life has been sculpture. I wanted to support the University in encouraging promising sculptors, particularly those who work in 3D and with classic materials.”
Since 2007, 11 students have benefitted from this fantastic opportunity which has enabled them to pursue their studies in Fine Art here in London. Xamples 2007-2012 is the first time these scholars will show their work together in the same gallery space.
